Message from Our Founder
Welcome to Poder in Action. As a Latina woman who started from humble beginnings and raised two daughters as a single mother, I’ve seen firsthand what resilience and hard work can achieve. Poder in Spanish means 'power' or 'ability,' and for me, it represents the potential every Latina woman carries. This foundation is about channeling that poder into action—empowering young women to overcome obstacles, break barriers, and rise to leadership positions.

Poder in Action was born out of my desire to give back to the community that shaped me. Our scholarships are more than financial aid; they are an investment in the future of young Latina women whose dreams will lead to even greater victories for our community. Together, we can build a future where Latina women have the tools they need to succeed and create lasting change.

Beyond financial support, Poder in Action aims to foster a sense of belonging and confidence in the next generation of Latina leaders. Through mentorship, networking opportunities, and community-building initiatives, we are dedicated to nurturing both the educational and personal growth of these young women, equipping them to excel in any path they choose.
I do know one thing about me. I don't measure myself by others' expectations or let others define my worth.
